Academic Integrity Module

Humber Libraries and University of Guelph-Humber Library Services have developed self-paced Academic Integrity and Citation Awareness Modules. These accessible and multimodal modules take an educative approach to academic integrity. It engages learners with scenarios, activities, and videos that introduce the values and practices of academic integrity. These modules take approximately 1 hour to complete.

After completing this tutorial, students will be able to:

  • Recognize the importance of academic integrity when engaging in scholarly work
  • Recall the fundamental values of academic integrity
  • Identify and describe different forms of academic misconduct
  • Recall expectations related to citation and practical strategies for avoiding academic misconduct 
  • Identify additional citation resources and research support available through Humber Libraries and Guelph-Humber Library Services

Instagram Contest!

In honour of the International Day of Action for Academic Integrity on October 18, 2023, we’ll be holding a social media contest on Instagram from October 18th through October 20th, 2023.

Follow @GHLibrary and @HumberIdeaLab and look for the contest info on October 18th!


The Humber Academic Integrity and Citation Awareness Module was created by Christopher Rugo, Caleb Domsy, Najeeb Ahmed.

The Guelph-Humber Academic Integrity Module was created by Sue Hunter, Matthew LaGrone, Usman Malik, Alexandra Ross, Christoper Rugo, Adam Sandford, Carri-Ann Scott, and Paul Sherman.
