February is Black Heritage Month — a time to learn about, honour and celebrate the legacy of Black Canadians. The theme for Black Heritage Month 2024 at Humber is Without community there is no liberation.
On behalf of the Library we are pleased to introduce the Black Student Library Guide for Black students! This guide provides links to new books, movies, magazines, Black-owned Toronto organizations, business and more.
This guide has a specific focus on people of African and Caribbean descent in Toronto and in Canada. It also includes materials on histories of colonialism, slavery, anti-Black racism and resistance.
