Connecting, Sharing & Reusing a List
If you:
- built your Leganto list outside of the active course site (in a DEV, PMR, Sandbox, etc.)
- had the Library create the list for you
- are planning to reuse a previous list
the following steps show you how to ensure the list you want to use is connected to the live course site that you will be teaching from.

Complete Steps 1 - 4 shown here

Click on the option on the right, Select existing list.

Look for the list you want to use.
Select Duplicate list:
- if you are reusing a list from a previous semester
- if more than one faculty are teaching the same course
Select Link course to this list:
- If you created the list and you are the only faculty teaching that course
- If the library has created the list for you and have advised you to select the Link course to this list option

The list can be re-named at any time once it has been copied or linked to.
We recommend the following naming conventions for Leganto lists: e.g. HUMA 3450 - Fall 2025
