Library Love is in the air! Visit the library in-person and online during the month of February to check out our Valentine's Day themed displays, activities, and contests!

In-Person Activities:

  • Blind Date with a Book:
    • Visit the library to pick up your next 'date!' Select from fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, memoirs, and more - some details are provided, but the exact title isn't revealed until a book is signed out!
    • Locations: North (LRC 4th Floor), Lakeshore (B202)
       
  • Share the Love of Reading - February 13-15:
    • Visit the library to submit your book recommendations to our virtual 'wall of love.'
    • Submit your favourite read to enter to win a $20 Dine on Campus gift card.
    • Locations: North (LRC 4th Floor), Lakeshore (B202), Guelph-Humber (GH203)
       
  • Love at the Idea Lab:
    • Join us for workshops and drop-in crafting at the Idea Lab: 
      1. Creating with the Cricut Maker – Valentine’s Day Edition!
        • In this open workshop, participants will be guided through how to create a Valentine’s Day greeting card with the Cricut Maker.
        • Register online
        • Attendees will be entered to win an Idea Lab prize pack.
        • Workshop Dates for both Lakeshore & North:
          • Wednesday, February 8th, 1:30-3pm
          • Thursday, February 9th, 2:30-4pm
      2. Drop-In Valentine’s Card Making Station: February 13 & 14
        • Drop by the Idea Lab and make a Valentine for someone special. All materials will be provided including embellishments made with the 3D printer and Cricut Maker.
    • Idea Lab Locations: North (LRC 3rd Floor, in the Learning Commons), Lakeshore (G Building 3rd Floor).

  • eBook Matchmaker:
    • Take our online quiz to see which eBooks suit your ideal date style! eBooks are available online from Humber Libraries.
