  • a written report outlining someone's attitude or intentions regarding a particular matter
  • position papers are often put out by service organizations, advocacy groups and coalitions
  • begin your search by finding advocacy groups and coalitions working for your service population
  • go onto agency websites and see if they post a ‘resources’ or ‘reports’ link
  • try to google ‘position paper’ along with the area of interest is another option
  • try limiting your search to specific sites such as organizations, governments, and educational institutions

HOW TO FIND AGENCY PUBLICATIONS 

  • these are reports by agencies serving specific populations in the  social services sector
  • research agencies serving your population
  • agency publications are often published on agency websites
  • go onto agency websites and see if they post a ‘resources’ or ‘reports’ link
  • look for annual reports as well as brochures, newsletters, etc. 
  • read mission / vision statements to learn about the agency
  • try limiting your search to a specific site such as organizations
